Day 12
Sewall Organic Orchards. The owner, Bob Sewall, is an old friend
from the mid-90s who I met when I facilitated writing workshops
in Belfast, ME. Had a great visit there with Bob, his wife Mia and his
daughter, Samantha.
Scorpion mosaic Bob made for their shower wall.
One of numerous street art installations in Belfast
as part of their Co-motion event. Belfast has really
focused on the arts in the last few years and it
has helped revitalize the city a bit.
Another of the installations on the street, along with the poem I
magnetized together.
Another of the two dozen plus installations.
Rocky field along Route 1 between Bucksport and Ellsworth
that I've passed numerous times over the years. Getting close to Acadia!
Northeast Creek on Mount Desert Island. Carolyn and I canoed
up it one early November and gathered great wild cranberries
from the creek.
David, a bagpiper hired by The Colony in Hulls Cove to play on
the rocks every Saturday from 4 - 6. He's been playing bagpipes
for 25 years and this is the ffth year he's been doing this particular "gig."
Sand Beach in Acadia from the Loop Road above.
Pitch Pine tree and Acadia shore.
Arrived at Acadia late in the day and will be here for the next four days.
My spiritual home for 37 years.
